The Austrian region Tyrol is probably one of the most known winter destinations worldwide. Around 80 different ski areas with about 3.400 km of slopes invite you for a huge winter fun.

Most of the guests in winter arrive by car and for all those living too far away, Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol, is connected in winter as well with many larger European cities like Amsterdam, London, Berlin, Hamburg, Helsinki, Moscow...

The timetable of the Innsbruck Airport you can find here.

The most known ski resorts in Tyrol are for sure Lech, St. Anton, Sölden, Kitzbühel & Ischgl. In high season they are as well the most crowded & expensive ones. Beside those well known ski resorts there are several smaller but not less attractive ones like: Seefeld, Kappl, Bergeralm, Kühtai and many more.

A full list of all Ski resorts including weather/snow conditions you can find on this page.

There are as well several events, starting with the season opening parties in most of the ski areas but due to the pandemic of Covid 19 several events are postponed or cancelled already.

The Gay Snowhappening in Sölden was one of the biggest Gay events in the Alps so far and will take place for sure again after the whole situation with Covid 19 is more relaxed.

Regarding accomodations, in general it is always better to check several pages and compare the prices of a room. Most of the properties are listed on Booking.com but sometimes it's worth to request an offer from the property you prefer directly.
